FAQ

(Well, the sort of questions we were hoping people would ask. We can't help with next week's lottery numbers, the weather, or the location of that cache you've DNFed five times already.....)

Where is it?
We will be somewhere within the West Midlands Region, and we'll be revealing our exact location later in the year. (Oooh, exciting ...)

When is it?
The Mega will be on a Saturday at the end of July or beginning of August 2027, to tie in with Piratemania's plans for that time. We're currently in discussions with the Pirates (and we don't want to annoy them, because they're armed and scary) to make sure our relative dates work out, and we'll confirm the exact date here and on our socials as soon as we have it.

Is it a full week, or just the Saturday?
It's a one day Mega similar to London Calling, with a meet-and-greet event on the Friday night and possibly a CITO or similar on the Sunday. But, if you'd like to spend longer in the area, there's plenty to see and do, and we'll be making sure that there's lots of caches to have a go at.

What about accommodation?
We won't be organising anything specific, not for a one-day event - however, if you're planning on staying longer, then there's a variety of accommodation available in the region, ranging from camping to some rather nice hotels.

Is there an entrance fee?
We'll be making a small entry charge to cover the venue hire, but we'll be trying to keep this as low as possible. (After all, if we made it too expensive, nobody would come!)

What about merchandise?
We're hoping to have the usual range of clothing, geocoins etc. available in the shop in due course. There should also be supporters packs for advance purchase as well. Watch this space!

What can I do to help?
Spread the word - let people know there's going to be a Mega in the West Midlands in 2027 - and help us to fundraise if you can. Nearer the time, we'll also be calling for volunteers to help on the day.
